Meta Tags for Webflow

Webflow has proper SEO and Open Graph fields for every page. Plan the values here with live previews, then paste them into Page settings.

Use a full https:// address. Best size: 1200 × 630 pixels.

Static pages

In the Designer, open the Pages panel, hover over the page and click the cog icon. Under SEO Settings, fill in the Title Tag and Meta Description; Webflow’s preview shows roughly how Google will display it. Under Open Graph Settings, tick “Same as SEO title/description” unless you want different social text, and add the image URL. Publish the site for changes to go live.

CMS collection pages

For blog posts, case studies or products, open the Collection template page settings. Instead of typing text, click + Add Field in each SEO box and insert collection fields, for example Name | Northline Studio for the title and a Summary field for the description. Then every item gets unique tags automatically. Add a dedicated short-text field called “SEO description” to your collection so editors can control it per item.

What Webflow doesn’t do for you

  • X cards: Webflow outputs Open Graph tags; X uses them as a fallback, but add twitter:card in Custom Code → Inside <head> tag to get the large image card. The Custom code output above does this.
  • Canonical URLs: set a global canonical domain in Site settings → SEO so www and non-www versions don’t compete. Add a page-level canonical only for true duplicates.
  • Noindex for utility pages: thank-you pages and password pages should be kept out of search with the “Exclude from search results” option or a robots tag in custom code.

Image tips for Webflow

Upload the share image to the Assets panel and copy its URL. Webflow serves it from its CDN, which social apps can fetch quickly. Keep it 1200 × 630 and under 5 MB.
